Client interviewing provides a range of fundamental skills needed by all law graduates. Whether you want to be a solicitor, barrister or work in business, being able to communicate clearly, gain needed information and then be able to act upon that in the required manner is crucial in the working world. Client interviewing candidates can practice these skills in a controlled environment which will allow them to develop their skills. Client interviewing is the perfect training ground any aspiring solicitor, barrister or keen business person.

Lincoln Client Interviewing Competition

The Lincoln Client Interviewing Competition (LCIC) will be the biggest competition of its type held at the University of Lincoln, exclusively for Law Society members. The LCIC pits teams of two students against each other across three rounds to compete for the LCIC trophy, leaving their mark in the history of the competition as the first winners. This competition is open to students of all abilities and all levels of study.

External Competitions

Each year we enter teams of students into national client interviewing competitions. These competitions are for teams of two who interview a client before a judge. Taking part in national competitions offers a fantastic platform to showcase your skills, develop them at a high standard and network with other law students and legal professionals.
